Robin Hood is the famous hero of the 12th Century. Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor made him a folk hero but he had a dark past and lived in a difficult country under a difficult ruler – King John. This course will explore the mythology of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, as well as placing them in their hostorical context of knights, kings and Crusades.
