Why choose us?
We decided to home educate when our daughter Freya was 2 and our son Jasper was a newborn. We liked the idea that our children would learn at their own pace, they would have a love of learning and could develop hobbies and interests that they may not be able to if they were at school.
Neither of children started school at 4. We spent our time going to Home Ed groups, learning through play, going to museums, parks, reading, doing fun projects and science experiments. They both developed a love of sea creatures, space, prehistoric animals and building things. They spent a lot of time swimming and riding bikes, going for long hikes and feeding our chickens.
When Jasper was 7 he decided he wanted to try school so we supported that. He is 9 now, and the routine and structure of school really suits him at this age. He loves being active and outside when he is home. Who knows where he will choose to be educated in the future!
Freya has continued to be home educated and at age 11 loves Astronomy, Marine Biology and Anime. She is part of our local Astronomy Society, is starting scuba diving this year and hopes to go to Japan one day! She would like to be an Ocean Vet when she is older. She loves to learn and is always up for trying new courses and hobbies.
Our philosophy is still the same - to encourage a love of learning and exploration, and the rest will fall into place. We hope that our students love the subjects they choose with us, as learning something that you are enthusiastic about is the best way to learn!
Our Students
Our students come from a range of religions and backgrounds. They start from 7 years old and end with taking their GCSEs. We have students from all over the world, joining in lessons from beaches, motorhomes and mountains. We support children with SEN to achieve their full potential at all ages
