We round off the series on WW2 (The Rise of Hitler, WW2 Western Front, WW2 Easter Front) with this course on the conflict in the Pacific. The course begins in 1937 with Japanese actions in China and explores the vast Japanese expansion after the attack on Pearl Harbour. Our allied focus is largely on the Americans and Australians, with the course ending at VJ day, where Imperial Japan surrenders following intense firebombing and the first and only use of nuclear weapons in anger.

These courses will be webinar style. This means I am the only one talking, there will be no cameras or microphones on except mine. The students will be able to chat to me via the chat box system, but not with each other.
