Explore the Roman world through the lens of some of its most influential leaders. From Augustus, the first Emperor, to Constantine, its last, we will learn about some pretty colourful characters. Nero is the famous mum-murdering despot who fiddled whilst Rome burnt – but was he as bad as they say? Trajan ruled over the Roman Empire at its largest, but did he do it for the fame, the money or just because he was bored? Constantine I was the first Christian Emperor, but why did he take the leap of faith? Justinian’s wife Theodora was at least as famous as he was, but could he survive the scandal attached to her? Each lesson will be a riot of pomp and massive egos!
