Here are some reviews left by parents and students over the last few years.

My eldest has done both GCSE History and RS with Jake and really enjoyed both. Jake was engaging in his teaching style and Alex really looked forward to his weekly lessons.Hannah Horsewell, Parent
My daughter (15) absolutely loves the Environment Management IGCSE course.. really engaging and stimulating.. Jake is a fabulous tutor condensing what is needed and explaining how to utilise it. So helpful! He makes learning fun!Clare Noble, Parent
I can’t praise Jake and his courses enough! When the uncertainty happened over 2020 exams he went above and beyond to make sure his students were able to be graded which took so much stress out of the situation. My daughter loves his approach to covering the topics and is engaged and self motivated because she enjoys what she is learning. I wish he did all subjects!Samantha Jones, Parent
I overheard Amani chatting away in her room yesterday & wondered who she could be talking to ... turns out she was just chatting with her online humanities tutor - she is loving the KS2 Geography, Ancient History, Modern History & Mythology lessons, KS3 Weather & Climate, & Philosophy & Big Ideas. Lots of learning opportunities & keeps her busy. Jake clearly has a great rapport with his students and my daughter looks forward to his lessons. They are engaging and interesting. In Amani’s words “they’re brilliant!” Cheryl Lomax, Parent
My husband and I are delighted to have found Humanatees. For a very reasonable charge, our son is receiving excellent lessons in Environmental Management, which really engage him. It's surprising just how often what he has learnt in these lessons comes up in every day conversations. The course is brilliantly taught, well organised, and Jake is always very responsive to emails. Regular homework is given and marked, as well as regular mock exams which our son finds invaluable. It's one of the highlights of our homeschooling year.Sophie Dawson, Parent

Fantastic supportive tutor. Jake is very Tech savvy which has been a real plus over the last year! His lessons are always fun and engaging. Very inclusive whilst at the same time stretching students to achieve top Marks in exams. We often recomend him to other people!Julia Williams, Parent
Great courses! Great Tutor! Just wish you did maths so we could do that with you too!Terri Woodward, Parent
My then 6 year old daughter initially had individual HE’d lessons with Jake nearly 18 months ago. For her young age he was extremely patient and accommodating and he pitched the lessons perfectly . He adapted his lessons to meet her request to ‘start at the beginning’ as we commenced on an ancient history journey over the next 18 months. He had been brilliant as we moved to a small group with a widening age range, the topic areas also widened to include philosophy and RE, and more recently geography. Jake is amazingly inclusive, responsive and adaptable, as their interests linger for more depth, or tangent and go ‘off piste’. Jake has become an invaluable and important part of our week, and fantastic aid in our home Ed journey.Carolyn Horrocks, Parent
My children (8 and 9) love your lessons and quote from you endlessly. You manage to cover a lot in a short time and they're amazing value. – Hazel Davies, Parent. We are doing Ancient History with Jake and some KS2 webinars for youngest one ..all of mine love working with Jake and learnt a lot. Karina Al-Mohsin , Parent
Jake is wonderfully engaging and injects good humour into his lessons. My son has benefitted immensely from the webinars and had developed a real passion for the subjects being taught. Humanatees is a real favourite!Sharon Gyles, Parent
My 9 year old LOVES Jake's lessons and looks forward to them every week. He's funny, engaging and makes the subjects interesting. My daughter has learned loads (so have I!) Lily Karenza, Parent
Jake is an incredible teacher and his Geography and History lessons are brilliant - engaging, fun, and interesting.Geoff Weeks , Parent
Very engaging, knowledgeable, and fun!Katy Doncaster , Parent
My children really enjoy Jake's sessions - he builds rapport quickly and his wide-ranging knowledge means that he can facilitate discussions about a variety of topics and isn't fazed when the children's questions lead them outside the specific areas he had planned to teach. He is a very engaging storyteller and he manages to enthuse a room full of children for long periods of time. With the older children, his questionning style encourages them to think about issues and debate different points of view. Liz Cole, Parent
My two children, aged 8 and 5, attend one of Jake’s regular humanities groups. They are always excited to go and really enjoy their time there. He has a very engaging and calm manner with the children, is very understanding of individual needs, and they always leave having learned a lot and having had a lot of fun. Thanks Jake!Daniel Wright, Parent
My four children have attended numerous Home Ed tutoring sessions with Jake, and always thoroughly enjoy them and learn lots of new and interesting things. Jake caters well for a range of ages and abilities within the group (my kids are aged between 5 & 10 and two have dyslexia). I would wholeheartedly recommend Jake for tutoring.Sally Collins, Parent
Jake is amazing! I've got 2 boys aged 10 and 8. Both boys have different needs but Jake engages them and they're fascinated by his wealth of knowledge. Jake gets the quirks and the need for one of my boys to learn whilst he is jumping around and he is so calm and understanding. He is very easy to communicate with and more than happy to make tweaks as my son's needs become more apparent. I can't recommend him highly enough. Thanks JakeGaye Tomlinson, Parent
My two boys aged 13 and 11 have one on one tuition with Jake. I can honestly say they love it and ask when their next lesson is. Jake is fun and engaging and can encourage the quietest of children.Vikki Dore, Parent
My 10yr old daughter really enjoys the debate groups that Jake runs, she doesn’t normally like group activities but always wants me to book her on to these whatever the topicLinda Johnson, Parent
We attended a group tutoring session this morning and my children really loved it. Jake was fun, his lesson was interesting and they want to go back for next months so that's a win to me.Jayleigh Stretton, Parent
My almost 12 year old son had a small group session (6 children) with Jake. My son wasn't forthcoming about what they actually did in the session, but he says "I liked Jake, and it was interesting". High praise indeed, he has attended many HE groups over the years and is quite particular about what is good and what is not.Kathryn Corbett, Parent
Our 9 year old really enjoyed the session with Jake yesterday and came home very excited to go back next month for more! She had clearly learnt lots and had fun at the same time - perfect combination! Her verdict was "I really like Jake!"Anna Atkinson, Parent
Liam only came out of school a year ago after severe anxiety and suspected asd, he was struggling to find anything other than maths to spark his interest. After the first session that he did with you, he was hooked haha. He said that you are cool and like a real life youtuber! Nicola Bennett, Parent
